The final part of the Light Camp funded by donors through AlFitrah foundation. The competition is open to all blind people in the Gaza strip and this year entrants have to memorise surah alMaidah. May Allah bless all donors and organisers and those taking part.
This was Sheikh Abdulrahman Aljamal's first visit to Malaysia since 2012 due to the seige. He founded Dar AlQuran AlKareem was Sunnah where we have held summer camps for the blind over the last 7 years. Alfitrah foundation has sent 100 Braille Qurans to the students of this camp.
We were happy to see him but sad to hear of the situation in Gaza. Inshaa Allah we will start a project to employ two teachers ( one male one female ) for each of the 7 districts in Gaza to teach blind students the Quran after school. This would fulfil the goals of providing employment as well as strengthening their faith. One teacher is only paid USD120 per month. Please consider sponsoring part of a halaqah.
