Supporting Refugee Children Through Quran Classes

Since 2021, Al Fitrah Foundation & MSRI have teamed up to provide Quran classes for young refugee students — Alhamdulillah!

Over 40 children now attend daily lessons, guided by 2 dedicated teachers and a loving coordinator. Their connection with the Quran grows stronger each day.

Alternative Education: Building Stronger Futures

Al Fitrah Foundation has been proudly supporting Sekolah Islamiyah—a lifeline for Rohingya refugee children in Kuala Lumpur—since before the pandemic. As the school grows, so does our commitment. We’ve increased funding to ensure operational costs and support the incredible teachers making a difference daily.

Last week, we saw the passion of 3 amazing teachers leading Year 2 to Year 6 in English, Math, and Science. Despite the noise and thin walls, their energy was unwavering, and the students’ eagerness to learn was truly inspiring!

Spreading Light with Braille Qurans

Alhamdulillah, Maulana Waqar and his team at BRFP have been working hard to provide Braille Qurans to visually impaired students across Pakistan.

On his recent trip, Maulana Waqar distributed Braille Quran sets to students of all ages in various cities while supporting local communities and setting up new Quran classes.

Inspiring Young Minds at SMK Kampung Jawa

On April 30th, the Al Fitrah Foundation held a reading session at SMK Kampung Jawa, Klang, featuring Strength from Within by Sa’diyya Nesar. Over 30 students—including those from the special education program—joined the inclusive event supporting visually impaired learners.

The book, written by a physically challenged author, shares stories of the prophets to inspire resilience and faith. 🕊️💪 To encourage continued learning, the foundation contributed a set to the school library.
