BRAILLE QURAN STUDIES IN KAZAKSHTAN

Brother Askar conducts Braille Quran programs onsite and online to sighted and visually impaired students in Kazakhstan. His students include Asatizahs (Islamic religious teachers), volunteers, teachers, individuals, and some famous personalities too.

Three sighted students from the Madrasah at the Islamic Institute Husamuddin as-Syganaqi completed their Braille Primer studies and are starting to read the Braille Quran. Brother Ramadan, an Ustaz is one of them.

BRAILLE LITERACY

Al Fitrah Foundation’s literacy initiative for 30 visually impaired students from low-income families at Al Noor Village in Turkey, started on 01.09.2024.

The educational program is customized to the needs of children between 5 and 14. To ensure effective teaching and learning, the children are put in small groups, and four teachers have been selected to teach them.

QURAN HALAQAH SPONSORSHIP

Alhamdulillah Alfitrah Foundation has sponsored 10 Quran halaqah in G*za at Dar Al Quran in Khanyounis . Each group consists of 15 male or female students. They congregate and study in groups daily with a teacher leading them in memorising the Quran. May this give them strength to overcome the challenges they face living under genocide. May Allah keep them safe and protect them in their hours of difficulty. Insya Allah, they will always be in our dua’s.

BRAILLE AND SIGHTED READING MATERIALS

Al Fitrah Foundation received a visitor from Pakistan, brother Umer Farook, CEO of Bolte Huroof. Bolte Huroof was launched in 2021 for the inclusive braille books project aimed at helping visually impaired children, teachers and parents to read together and learn together (inclusive learning). It is done by combining the sighted and braille contents in one book.

Brother Umer showed the team printed and braille combination of colourful children’s books, as well as other documents that had a mixture of sighted and braille content.

TEAM ACTIVITY – CYCLING AT LAKE TITIWANGSA

Yesterday, 13th August, our team went cycling at a lake near the office at 8:15am. It was a beautiful start to the day. Everyone had a good exercise, lots of fun and laughter.
