Alfitrah Foundation is proud to work with brother Harun Holmes and Nottingham Islam to promote the Quran to our Polish brothers and sisters. They have given out almost 1,000 copies and need to raise funds for the next print run of 1,000 Qurans.

We had received requests for braille Qurans from Nigeria since 2012 from the Visually Impaired Muslims Mavin informing us Christian missionaries were aggresively converting Muslims through braille bibles, and this was due to the unavailability of braille Qurans. However it was very challenging delivering braille Qurans to Africa as the costs were prohibitive.

Alhamdulillah we have now established a reliable and relatively inexpensive method of shipping braille Qurans as well as English translations and braille primers for beginners, and we are covering all parts of Nigeria inshaa Allah.

We are pleased to have the support also of brother Zahir Uddin and the One Life Global charity in Manchester UK to fulfil the needs of the nigerian Muslims.

Alhamdulillah Daniel Abdullah Hernandez , imam of the Pearson Islamic Centre in Texas , USA with the English translations of Juz 30 of the Quran, and Imam Nawawi's collection of 40 Hadith . He had requested them for a blind Mexican girl who took shahadah in Ramadan and could not read arabic braille. Braille books are shipped for free, and Alhamdulillah the books took only 2 weeks to arrive.

We were pleased to have Mr Bjorn Lofstedt the founder and owner of the Swedish company Index Braille come to visit us with Anna Lau, MD of Index Braille Technology Sys M Sdn Bhd

Alhamdulillah Mr Lofstedt told us he is pleased with our work and by how efficient and productive Alfitrah foundation is.

We are currently using 3 Everest V4 embossers , seen in the background which are from Index Braille

Anna Lau also taught Firdaus how to print using Direct braille, bypassing the use of Duxbury software, which will make production of braille books quicker, inshaa Allah.
