Aarron Zayd Burgin lost his vision through retinitis pigmentosa
Aarron Zayd Burgin lost his vision through retinitis pigmentosa at the age of 10 but today he is a black belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu and teaches and competes with able bodied people. After he converted to Islam at the age of 18 he started to learn the Quran with a sheikh and Alhamdulillah has memorized almost one third of the Quran. It is inspiring to meet someone who doesn’t let his blindness hold him back.
AlFitrah Foundation was happy to gift him a copy of Imam Nawawi’s collection of 40 Hadith and inshaa Allah will be sending him a Braille Quran very soon.
You can watch a video about Zayd here https://youtu.be/h67dsifotu4
