Alhamdulillah in the 3 years since Alfitrah foundation was established, we have sent over 1,000 Braille Qurans and Islamic texts to the blind in 35 countries and 5 continents.
To enable more people to read the Quran we are training teachers from different countries.

Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah our braille Qurans continue to reach the blind all over the world, may Allah bless all donors and the Malaysian postal workers who help us deliver our braille materials for free.
In the photos are the 10 Qurans donated by a Malaysian brother to the Waqf Foundation for Quran memorization in Lebanon, as well as a braille Quran donated by a sister in Singapore for Salman in Karachi, Pakistan.

Alhamdulillah we held Third Ramadan competition for blind persons in Gaza Strip for memorizing Surah Al Nessa.

Last week the children at Illorin Kwara state school for the blind, were delighted to receive 4 Braille Qurans from Alfitrah foundation. They were donated through the UK NGO One Life Global welfare.
Blind Muslims in Kazakhstan who have just started to learn to read the Quran in Braille. The teacher is Askar Shakirov who took the initiative to learn Quraanic Braille with us when he was studying at the International Islamic University here. Askar wants to come back to Malaysia to do his Masters degree in Fiqh. Inshaa Allah we will be sponsoring his studies as many Kazakh Muslims are only learning about Islam now after decades of living under Communism. Askar is possibly the only one in his country who can teach the Quran in Braille. He is sighted but growing up he had a close friend who was deaf, which made him aware of the needs of the disabled.
