Mike, from our Editorial team, takes part in Quranic competitions multiple times a year as a way to grow and improve. This is his story:
Alhamdulillah—I’m deeply grateful to have secured 2nd place in the Tilawah (male) category of the MSU Quranic League, which began earlier this year and concluded with the finals on March 20, followed by the closing ceremony on March 21, 2025.
This achievement holds special meaning for me, particularly as I was grappling with serious voice challenges at the time. Despite the obstacles, I gave it my all and am proud of my Quranic recitation in the taranum style.
I sincerely appreciate the MSU Quranic League for creating opportunities for visually impaired participants (OKU Penglihatan) to be part of this year's Ihya' Ramadan program. It was a privilege, and I look forward to joining again next year—hopefully, meeting even more inspiring participants along the way! In Shaa Allah.
Spanning nearly three months, the competition featured online auditions and welcomed approximately 600 competitors, each showcasing their talents across various categories, including Tilawah.
