Al Fitrah Foundation ran a Food Essentials for the Visually Impaired Initiative on 2nd and 3rd of October 2024.
On the first day, 25 families with two or more dependents from different backgrounds collected their food packages consisting of rice pack, wheat flour, noodles, tea, canned food, and cooking oil. On day two, 21 families participated, and the four remaining families are expected to collect their stuff on Monday, 7th of October.
We wish to thank our dedicated team – Aida, Hilman, Majid, Mike, Amer and Nani – for their seamless coordination of the handovers. They attended to each recipient from registration, packing the essentials into their recycle bags/luggages and placing them in their respective vehicles. In addition, Amer led some recipients from the MRT Gate B to Al Fitrah Foundation and back after they had taken their items.
We are pleased to have been able to run this campaign for the benefit of the visually impaired community and appreciate the support of our donors involved in this campaign. Alhamdulillah.
