Through one of Al Fitrah Foundation’s regular food programs, we reached out to 41 families both visually impaired as well as deserving local folks within Klang Valley this August. They received RM100 worth of grocery vouchers and food package consisting of rice, biscuits, flour, cooking oil, sugar, seasoning sauce and canned food.
Al Fitrah’s team headed to two mosques serving different communities and selected homes of the visually impaired to deliver the goodies while others collected their share of the food aid at Al Fitrah’s office.
The list of recipients that benefitted from this initiative included the sick, senior citizens, single parents, and families with children. The beneficiary list is updated regularly to ensure we extend assistance to as many eligible people as possible.
We wish to thank Ustaz Abuzar from Masjid Jamek Saad Abi-Waqqas, Gombak and Ustaz Rashid from Masjid Tun Abdul Aziz, Petaling Jaya for helping us with the program. Our team were also happy to spend some time with the recipients. From the brief visit, we got to learn so much more about the community. Alhamdulillah.
