Askar Sakhirov learned Arabic Braille in Malaysia while he was doing his studies at university. He designed a primer with us at Alfitrah foundation to be used to teach Quran to the blind in Kazakhstan.
Berik in the blue shirt traveled 300km to Semey from Ayaguz to learn to read Quran in Braille. With proper training , inshaa Allah ,he will be able to teach the blind in his hometown.
We also gave them a Braille Quran and other Islamic books to bring home with the brailler we helped them purchase.
Inshaa Allah we will pay them a visit in return later this year.
