EBRELLE FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED: LEARNING AND TEACHING

Puan Sri Norma Hashim, Founder and Trustee of Al Fitrah Foundation, and her team met with Dr Shahril and Puan Afifah from eBrelle, Ilham, a PhD student from the University of Malaya, and Ustaz Hakim from Darul Quran JAKIM, recently. The meeting focused on the importance of providing eBrelle devices to visually impaired students and teachers at Darul Quran to support Quran learning and teaching.

eBrelle offers key benefits for visually impaired users, such as the ability to read, memorize, and review the Quran anywhere. Ilham shared how he uses eBrelle for reading documents and taking lecture notes, with plans to use it for independent presentations. Dr Shahril also highlighted new features in the latest version of eBrelle designed to assist users further.

Al Fitrah Foundation, in partnership with eBrelle, plans to provide these new features to visually impaired students and teachers at Darul Quran. Additionally, eBrelle has requested the Foundation to consider adding beneficial books to its downloadable library.

The meeting concluded with hopes for a meaningful collaboration that will benefit all involved.
